Wyreside Lakes Fishery is situated on an extensive 120 acre farmland estate on the outskirts of Dolphinholme, Lancashire.

With a large camping and caravan site, bar, restaurant, shower blocks, laundry and function room Wyreside Fishery is more than just a great fishing venue – it’s a great place to stay too.
The site was used for hundreds of years as mainly farmland, up until the early 1950’s, for some 20 years the site was used to extraction of sand and gravel by Tarmac Roadstone Ltd. Restoration of the land began in the early 1980’s first by Tarmac and then by the Duchy of Lancaster, the latter works including extensive tree planting building islands in lakes for birds to breed and routes for walkers. 1984 saw the first fish introduced a 1.5lb Mirror, the fish introduced at the start have thrived some now exceed 40lb in weight.
Over the many years Wyreside Lakes Fishery has continued to develop and grow and now features 6 main lakes with a head of over 800 wonderful carp of all shapes sizes and weights (record fish 42lb), there’s even a children’s lake so that they can learn sport too.
The fishery is open 12 months of the year with varied ticket prices dependant on how long you stay and if you are camping etc.
